Hitch — Privacy Policy

Effective 23 July 2026

The short version: Hitch collects nothing. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no server. It does not even have permission to access the internet.

Data storage

Everything you enter — rotations, schedules, time off, certificates and their photos — is stored only on your device. If you create a backup file, it is saved where you choose; we never see it.

What Hitch never does

• No data is transmitted off your device by the app
• No personal information is collected or shared
• No third-party SDKs, analytics, or advertising frameworks are included

Optional device permissions

• Notifications — crew-change and certificate reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
• Calendar (read-only, optional) — if you enable the Apple Calendar holiday overlay, events are read on-device to display holiday markers. Nothing is written or transmitted.
• Camera / photo library (optional) — certificate photos you add are stored on your device only.

Purchases

Hitch Pro is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information.

Public holiday data

Holiday dates are bundled inside the app and read offline. No holiday lookup ever contacts a server.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Since Hitch collects nothing, changes are unlikely.
